What happens now?

This submission is currently in a pre-review state which means we are waiting for an editor to be assigned and for them to find some reviewers for your submission. This may take anything between a few hours to a couple of weeks. Thanks for your patience 😸

You can help the editor by looking at this list of potential reviewers to identify individuals who might be able to review your submission (please start at the bottom of the list). Also, feel free to suggest individuals who are not on this list by mentioning their GitHub handles here.

👋 @kalu-o - your affiliation shows up as IEEE - Is this the institution where you work/study or where you worked/studied while the work was done?

Also, I wonder if this is research software, or it would be better submitted to our sibling journal JOSE if it is more focused on education?

Hi Daniel,
I did not work/study in IEEE, but a member. The work was done at Rovira i Virgili University, Tarragona Spain. It is a research software; I briefly looked at JOSE and think it might be better suited there.

Can I suggest that you withdraw it from JOSS (which I can do with your permission) and resubmit to JOSE instead? That does seem like a better fit.
