Thought prompted by Daniel-Mietchen/events#568 , with
Daniel-Mietchen/events#560 in mind:

Is anyone working on plants that are more resistant to salinity that could help address the increased salinization of soil near the coast due to saltwater intrusion caused by short-term floods or long-term sea level rise?
