Some points to bring up

  • identify gaps in research on the topic, e.g. as per Millenium Problems in maths
  • build in reproducibility checks, e.g. have dedicated resources and team(s) for replicating key findings
  • share not just data but also code and material resources
  • share early and often, especially metadata and data management plans

I set up a Wikidata item for the event, which means there is also a Scholia event profile for it.

One of the participants, Griffin M. Webber, has built a profiling system based on mining platforms like PMC and social media: Profiles RNS.
