Yep, I think this is a good idea!

Just a few initial thoughts:

• I agree @ianmilligan1, this would be a good place to highlight first video (project overview) to give high-level view of AU platforms)
• Perhaps to keep written content to a minimum, we could present information in a table type format to highlight key info for each platform.

Things that present information like (just a starting place):

• Skill level
• Required accounts (highlight need Archive It account for Cloud)
• Ideal for (scholars, researchers, librarians, etc)
• Licence (open source and link to git page)

A getting started section would be a good initial first step to make it less intimidating. #31 still speaks to me in terms of redesigning the whole thing, and making it more inviting instead of text-dense. But, that'll take a lot of time that I'm not sure we have. Maybe later in the summer, in the fall? 🤷‍♂

OK, I can take a stab at putting a basic page together as a starting point.

Completely agreed @ruebot! I think when we started with this design, content "fit" the model, but I think we are definitely starting to out grow.

I think what @ianmilligan1 has drafted as a Getting Started page helps to fill in the gaps pointed out by board meeting and brand new users coming to the site, and is certainly a gentler way of going through rest of its content. Looking forward to reviewing PR :)

This is a great happy-medium until we are ready to do a deeper dive into designing. :)
