One major thing missing here is some kind of reviewer management functionality for JOSS and JOSE. This is a major piece of development that would address many of the issues listed here as priority items. I'll write this up shortly and add it to the roadmap document. |

Yes, this is what I was alluding to in my first comment. The new reviewer management feature will allow us to take this offline permanently. |

Please take a look and see what you think. I've not listed ever single issue in this doc but I have triaged all outstanding issues into a collection of categories (e.g. author, editor, reviewer improvements).
If there's something not listed as a priority here, please mention that on this PR and I'll open up a new issue and potential add it to the priority list.
